The private seller offers for sale this 1983 Ducati Scrambler 450, powered by a 450 cc single-cylinder engine. With its bright yellow tank and mudguards, chrome tank panels, high handlebars and spoked wheels, this Scrambler captures the spirit of the carefree, adventurous motorcycling of the 1960s and 1970s.

The Ducati Scrambler was introduced in the United States in 1962 at the request of the local importer and quickly became a favourite of young riders who were looking for a light, versatile motorcycle for both road and light off-road use. In Italy, the Scrambler gained popularity with the arrival of the 450 cc version. An entire generation of young Italians, born shortly after the Second World War, was influenced by the trends from across the ocean, with America, California, surfing, a sense of freedom and life in the open air as the inspiration. The Scrambler, with its simple single-cylinder engine, flat handlebar and distinctive styling, embodied that spirit and has become one of the most iconic Italian motorcycles of its era.

According to the seller, this motorcycle comes from a private collection and has been used very little. It has been started periodically and used for only a few kilometres, and the odometer shows 2321 km. The saddlebags are a period option, and the motorcycle will be delivered with a certificate of historical interest. The photographs show the yellow and black paintwork, the polished engine cases with the Ducati lettering, the Smiths instruments with tachometer and speedometer, the front wheel with its drum brake and the leather saddlebags.
