The seller offers for sale this 1973 Seat 600 Buggy Divesport, powered by a 600cc four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a manual transmission.
This yellow cabriolet presents the rare Divesport buggy conversion based on the Seat 600 platform, showing 14,390 km on the odometer. The body features tubular roll bar construction, exposed tube bumpers front and rear, and a spare wheel mounted at the rear. The exterior is presented in yellow. The black vinyl interior includes two bucket seats with lap belts, a period steering wheel and a basic instrument panel. The engine bay is accessible from the rear and shows the original 600cc unit with period modifications.
The Seat 600 was introduced in 1957 as Spain’s first mass-produced economy car, built under licence from Fiat and produced until 1973. Powered by a rear-mounted 600cc four-cylinder engine, it became an icon of postwar Spanish motoring and a symbol of the country’s economic recovery. In the late 1960s and 1970s, various coachbuilders and small workshops produced beach buggy conversions based on the 600 platform, capitalising on its simple mechanicals and wide availability. The Divesport was one such conversion, aimed at the leisure and coastal market. Surviving examples in driving condition are increasingly scarce.
