The seller offers for sale this 1976 Mitsubishi Lancer 1400 GL, powered by a 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission.
This silver sedan presents in largely original condition and has covered a modest distance from new. The seller acquired the car in 2022 directly from the son-in-law of the first owner, and the complete ownership history is known. Original documentation accompanies the car, including the purchase invoice and order form. The bodywork shows no significant corrosion aside from some surface rust on the suspension components; the seller states no welding has ever been carried out on the car. The exterior was repainted and underwent extensive maintenance in 2011. The black interior presents in good condition throughout. The seller notes two minor technical points: the exhaust produces slightly more noise than standard but does not leak, and the engine has a small oil seep at the crankshaft seal; a new exhaust and new gaskets are both included with the sale. A collection of mostly new, original spare parts also comes with the car, including bumpers, lights and switches.

The Mitsubishi Lancer was introduced in 1973 as a compact rear-wheel-drive saloon, initially available with 1.2- and 1.4-litre engines. The first generation, built through 1976, was sold in a relatively limited number of markets in Europe and earned a reputation for reliability and straightforward engineering. In period, the Lancer gained notable success in international rally competition, including a class win on the 1974 Southern Cross Rally, which helped establish the nameplate in export markets. European availability was restricted, and surviving examples in original condition are now genuinely scarce.
