The professional seller offers for sale this 1990 Kawasaki KX80, powered by an 80 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled two-stroke engine. The KX80 was Kawasaki’s small-capacity motocross machine, a lightweight, high-revving racer on which many young riders took their first steps in competition. With its liquid-cooled engine, Uni-Trak rear suspension and a slim chassis, it offered a taste of the full-size KX range in a compact package, and well-preserved examples from the late 1980s are increasingly sought after by vintage motocross enthusiasts.
This example is finished in Kawasaki green with a blue seat and the colourful KX graphics of the period on the side panels and tank shrouds, together with a white front number plate and the Uni-trak lettering on the aluminium swingarm. The expansion chamber carries the Pro Circuit name, and the engine, radiator hoses and rear shock are visible in the photos, which also show both wheels and the spoked rims with knobby tyres up close. According to the seller the machine still has to be started up, and bidders should plan accordingly. It comes with Canadian papers, and the seller states that all import duties and VAT have been paid.
