The professional seller offers for sale this 1982 Kawasaki GPz550, powered by a 550 cc air-cooled inline-four engine. The GPz550 was part of Kawasaki’s GPz family of the early 1980s, which brought sharper styling and more refined engineering to the Japanese four-cylinder sports bike. Its compact double-overhead-camshaft four, cast alloy wheels, disc brakes and clean, angular bodywork made it a quick and agile middleweight, and the Kawasaki green colour scheme of this machine is one of the most recognisable of the period. Early GPz models are increasingly sought after by collectors of 1980s Japanese motorcycles.

This example is finished in Kawasaki green with the Kawasaki name on the tank and GPz550 badges on the rear side panels. It has a small fairing around the headlight, green cast wheels with gold-coloured brake discs and a gold finish on the swingarm bracket and footrest hangers, as well as a black seat with a rear grab rail. A Vance & Hines exhaust fitted in place of the original system gives the machine a more purposeful look. The photos show the engine, the instruments, the exhaust and both wheels up close. According to the seller the machine still has to be started up, and bidders should plan accordingly. It comes with Canadian papers, and the seller states that all import duties and VAT have been paid.
