The private seller offers for sale this 1941 Dodge D19 Business Coupe, powered by a 3.6-litre flathead inline-six engine, paired with a manual transmission. The Business Coupe was the practical, two-door member of the Dodge range, designed with a spacious luggage compartment behind a single bench seat, and this example presents its elegant pre-war lines in a dark grey finish, set off by generous chrome and classic whitewall tyres.

The D19 Luxury Liner series was introduced for the 1939 model year to celebrate Dodge’s 25th anniversary and was offered as a sedan, coupe and cabriolet, all powered by a straight-six flathead engine. By 1941 the range had gained the full-width grille with its chrome horizontal bars, the streamlined bonnet ornament and the distinctive Luxury Liner script, all of which can be seen on this car. Inside, the wood-grain dashboard, the large circular speedometer and the period radio grille give the cabin its unmistakable pre-war character, and the interior appears to be still original.

According to the seller, the previous owner kept the car for seven years and had the engine bay and chassis professionally cleaned. More recently the car received a 12 V electrical conversion, a new exhaust and a carburettor reconditioning, and new old stock floor mats were fitted in front of the seats. This recent work on the mechanical side makes this Dodge an appealing basis for relaxed touring and for showing at classic car events.
