– 500 km indicated on odometer
– Supplied with matching sidecar
– Restoration work carried out according to the seller
– Trailer included in the sale

The private seller offers for sale this 1942 Harley-Davidson WLA, powered by a 739 cc V-twin engine. This WLA is presented as a complete sidecar outfit, finished in a striking teal and cream colour scheme that is carried through from the motorcycle to the streamlined sidecar body. Tan leather saddles for both rider and passenger, a leather saddlebag, cream-edged mudguards and polished spoked wheels create a beautifully coordinated appearance, while the tank-mounted speedometer and chrome details complete the classic Harley-Davidson look. The odometer indicates 500 km. According to the seller, the motorcycle has undergone restoration work, and it holds a valid inspection. A trailer is included in the sale, which makes transporting this charming outfit to rallies and shows straightforward.

The WLA is one of the most famous motorcycles in history. Developed from the civilian WL, it was adapted by Harley-Davidson for military use and built in very large numbers during the Second World War, earning the nickname Liberator as it accompanied Allied forces across Europe. At its heart sits the 45 cubic inch side-valve V-twin, a simple, torquey and famously durable engine that could cope with poor fuel, rough roads and minimal maintenance. After the war, many WLAs found their way into civilian hands and were repainted and personalised, laying the foundations for the custom culture that followed. Today a WLA is a cornerstone of any Harley-Davidson collection, and a sidecar outfit like this one adds an extra measure of character and period charm.
