The seller offers for sale this 1995 Triumph Daytona Super 3, powered by a 900 cc inline-three engine. Finished in the model’s signature yellow, this example shows 52,500 km on the odometer and has been kept by a private owner who has clearly taken its preservation seriously. According to the seller, the motorcycle has been serviced at regular intervals, the valves have recently been adjusted and a new rear tyre has been fitted. It carries the original Super 3 carbon fibre components rather than later replacements, which is a meaningful distinction on a model where those parts are frequently substituted. The bike is offered with an extensive package of spares and accessories assembled over many years, including the original fuel tank as well as original fairing panels and screen. It was imported into Austria and holds an individual Austrian type approval, and the seller notes that classic vehicle registration is a possibility. The seller further indicates that the motorcycle has not been used yet this year and that an annual service will be carried out before recommissioning. Presented in good condition with a documented history, it is a rare machine offered with the kind of supporting material that seldom accompanies a bike of this age.

The Daytona Super 3 occupies a special place in the story of Triumph’s rebirth. When John Bloor relaunched the marque at Hinckley in 1991, the modular range was solid and well engineered but conservative, and the Super 3 was the model that showed what the new company could really do. Introduced in 1994 as the flagship of the Daytona line, it took the 885 cc triple and lifted output to around 115 horsepower through revised camshafts, a lightened crankshaft, higher compression and gas-flowed heads, all developed with the assistance of Cosworth. Braking came from six-piston Alcon calipers, and carbon fibre was used for the front mudguard, hugger and side panels, a genuinely exotic touch for a mid-nineties production machine. Only 805 units were built, making it by some margin the rarest of the early Hinckley Daytonas. The three-cylinder engine gives the bike its defining character, delivering a broad spread of torque and that unmistakable induction howl which sits somewhere between a twin and a four, and it is precisely this combination of rarity, specification and distinctive sound that continues to draw collectors of modern Triumph history.
