The seller offers for sale this 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser, powered by a 3.4-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Finished in sand beige with a white FRP hardtop and the original factory two-tone side graphics, this BJ70-series Land Cruiser presents in good condition overall. The body retains its characteristic squared-off lines and shows the period “Four Wheel Drive” script decals along the lower sill, with white steel wheels and off-road tyres fitted. The odometer reads 333,666 km and the vehicle carries Dutch registration. The interior has been retrimmed with renewed grey leather seat upholstery, and the dashboard, switchgear and controls are intact and complete.
The Toyota Land Cruiser BJ70 series was produced from 1984 and built around the proven 3B four-cylinder diesel engine, displacing 3,431 cc. The BJ70 three-door body style was aimed at the light utility and recreational four-wheel drive market, combining a solid axle suspension setup with a part-time four-wheel drive transfer case. The model gained a strong following in Europe, particularly in the Netherlands, for its straightforward mechanicals and off-road capability. The FRP hardtop variant offered a lighter alternative to the steel roof while retaining the enclosed body.
This example is fitted with a tow hitch at the rear, a side step along the sill and a roof rack. The transfer case carries the correct shifting instructions label on the centre console and the vehicle retains its original manual locking front hubs.
