– Equipped with a later 2.6-liter Toyota engine upgrade
– Automatic transmission installed during mechanical update
– Distinctive classic Japanese luxury sedan

The seller offers for sale this 1969 Toyota Crown, an early second-series example of Toyota’s long-running luxury sedan line. This vehicle is powered by a 2.6-liter six-cylinder petrol engine paired with an automatic transmission. According to the seller, the car was imported from Belgium with a previous Finnish registration and has been in the Netherlands since 2024. The original engine was not present when the car was acquired and the vehicle has since been fitted with a later 2.6-liter Toyota engine and an automatic gearbox, both of which function as intended. Maintenance work has included a general engine revision as well as the replacement of the alternator and V-belt. The paintwork is cream and presents reasonably well for its age, with certain areas repainted in the past in a colour close to the original. Rust is present in the engine bay and luggage compartment and small signs of age can be found in several areas of the chassis. The interior is described as being in very good condition considering the age, with upholstery intact and the dashboard largely preserved.

The Toyota Crown is one of the longest-running nameplates in Japanese automotive history. First introduced in the mid-1950s, the model was developed as a comfortable and reliable sedan intended for both private and professional use. Over the decades the Crown evolved into one of Toyota’s flagship passenger cars, known for its smooth engines, solid build quality and refined driving characteristics. Early generations such as the late 1960s models represent an important stage in Toyota’s development as a global automotive manufacturer. Today these early Crown sedans are appreciated by enthusiasts of classic Japanese cars for their distinctive styling and historical significance.
