The GSR750 arrived in 2011 to replace the GSR600, and Suzuki gave it something rather more serious to work with: the 750 cc inline-four from the 2005 GSX-R750, retuned for the road with a fatter spread of midrange rather than a screaming top end. The result is 106 hp, a flat torque curve and the kind of delivery that makes a naked bike genuinely useful on a back road as well as in traffic. The chassis is straightforward and the styling, with its stacked headlight and sharply cut tail, was aimed squarely at the streetfighter market that Suzuki had largely left to others. It stayed in the range until 2016, when it was reworked into the GSX-S750.
The Freegun edition was a graphics package built around a collaboration with the French clothing brand, and it gives this example a rather more distinctive look than the standard bike. With the original exhaust still fitted, heated grips and USB power for a phone or navigation unit, it is set up as something to ride rather than to look at.
