The seller offers for sale this 1990 Renault 25 V6 Turbo, powered by a 2,458cc PRV V6 Turbo engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. This Spanish-market car carries a notable history: it was originally the official vehicle of the French Ambassador to Spain, as recorded on its original technical file, before being acquired by his personal chauffeur, who kept the car for much of its subsequent life.

The bodywork is in good condition, with paintwork that retains a good shine and only minor imperfections visible in the photographs. The car rides on four wheels in good condition, fitted with Michelin tyres also in good condition. Inside, the cabin retains its original black leather upholstery as it left the factory, with only minor wear noted to the rear headrests and a light scratch on the driver’s door panel near the speaker. Equipment level was advanced for its time, including air conditioning, a Philips Hi-Fi system with equalizer, electric windows and the model’s well-known vocal onboard computer, which runs a spoken system check before the engine is started.

The V6 Turbo engine produces around 182 hp, corresponding to the specification of the 205 PS Phase 2 version, and the seller reports that both the engine and gearbox run normally. The car received a comprehensive service in June 2024 at 248,000 km, covering an engine oil and filter change, brake fluid and gearbox oil replacement, six new Eyquem spark plugs, a new alternator belt, new air and fuel filters, new front discs and pads, new rear pads, a repair to the driver’s door hinge and an adjustment of the wipers.

Launched in 1983 as the successor to the 20 and 30, the Renault 25 was the undisputed flagship of the French marque through the 1980s and into the early 1990s. Its two-box “liftback” silhouette was penned by Gaston Juchet, while its futuristic interior was the work of the celebrated designer Marcello Gandini; together they gave the 25 a drag coefficient that was class-leading for its time, paired with executive-level comfort. The V6 Turbo sat at the top of the range, powered by the legendary PRV V6 and offering performance to match the best European executive saloons of the period, which made the model a favoured choice among ministers, executives and senior diplomats, a reputation this particular car’s own history reflects directly.
