The seller offers for sale this 1973 Porsche Targa, equipped with a 2.4-litre six-cylinder petrol engine and manual transmission. First delivered in the USA in July 1973, the car was purchased in 2008 and subsequently extensively restored by a Porsche specialist in Germany. The paint was renewed in 2014 in its original colour and still presents with a strong finish, with only minor signs of use. Inside, the Recaro seats were retrimmed in new leather and feature the correct Porsche embossed logo in the headrests, adding to the car’s period-correct appearance. The engine starts easily, runs clean with no smoke when warm, and produces no unusual noises. The gearbox shifts smoothly and quietly. According to the seller, the car has no accident history, no visible rust issues, and remains mechanically well with no work required. It comes with a valid technical inspection and a valuation report rating it condition grade 2 with an insurance value of €105,000.

The Porsche 911 Targa of the early 1970s represents one of the most recognisable variations of the classic 911 line. Introduced to offer open-air driving with added structural rigidity and safety, the Targa combined a removable roof panel with a fixed roll bar, creating a design that became iconic. The 2.4-litre models of this era are praised for their lively character, mechanical purity and direct driving feel. Light weight, responsive steering and the unmistakable flat-six sound make them an engaging companion on spirited drives. As interest in early air-cooled 911s continues to grow, well-restored examples from this period remain sought after for their timeless design, rewarding road manners and enduring popularity among collectors.
