The seller offers for sale this 1955 Peugeot 203C, powered by a 1.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a manual gearbox.
This example retains its fully original bodywork, with all structural members and floor panels reported to be in good condition. The car was treated inside and out with Tectyl by specialist coachbuilder Van Orsouw, providing long-term protection against corrosion. The paintwork was refreshed approximately eleven years ago in the original factory colour, and the interior has since received renewed seat upholstery, headliner and door panels. A number of mechanical components have also been renewed, including the clutch, thrust bearing, gearbox rubber, inner and outer tyres, door handles, boot light and fuel sender unit.

The Peugeot 203 was introduced in 1948 as the French manufacturer’s first all-new post-war model, replacing the pre-war 202 and marking a clear step forward in engineering. It featured a modern unitary body, independent front suspension and a notably smooth 1.3-litre overhead-valve engine, all of which gave it a strong reputation for reliability and longevity. The 203C designation refers to a later specification variant produced in the mid-1950s, featuring a revised front end with a more prominent grille treatment. The 203 remained in production until 1960 and is today well regarded among French classic car enthusiasts for its understated elegance and mechanical durability.
