The seller offers for sale this 1962 Lancia Flaminia GT 3C, powered by a 2,458cc V6 engine, paired with a 4-speed manual transaxle transmission. The car is finished in Saratoga white with a red leather interior and is a matching-numbers example, accompanied by a Lancia Heritage certificate confirming the body, chassis, engine and gearbox. Originally delivered in Italy, the car later spent time in the United States before the current owner acquired it and brought it back to Europe.

The Flaminia has undergone an extensive, engineering-led restoration, carried out with a series of upgrades aimed at everyday reliability without altering the car’s original character. The engine has been fully overhauled with new bearings, pistons, bushings and liners, and the water pump received new bearings. The electrics were entirely rewired using a new wiring loom and relay switches, and the car was fitted with a new aluminium fuel tank, fuel pump and alternator for a more consistent charge at low revs and with auxiliary equipment in use. The transaxle driveshaft has been balanced, and the brake callipers and exhaust system have been replaced in stainless steel to address corrosion. Further attention has gone into a temperature-controlled cooling fan for the V6 engine with a purpose-built air duct, an interval switch added to the wipers, new door, bonnet and trunk rubbers, new Bilstein dampers and front springs, 165×400 Pirelli tyres to the original specification, and a Blaupunkt radio with an auxiliary input.

Introduced in 1957 as Lancia’s post-war flagship, the Flaminia took its name, as had several Lancia models before it, from a Roman road, and replaced the Aurelia at the top of the range. Alongside the Pininfarina-bodied saloon, Lancia offered a shorter-wheelbase GT coupe built by Carrozzeria Touring using its Superleggera construction method, pairing an aluminium body over a tubular frame with the V6 engine and rear-mounted transaxle gearbox inherited from the saloon. The “3C” designation refers to the triple-carburettor induction fitted to the more powerful versions of the GT, giving the coupe genuine sporting performance to match its elegant, understated coachwork.

The rear-mounted transaxle gearbox and De Dion rear suspension give the Flaminia GT a notably balanced weight distribution and a composed, precise character through corners for a car of this era, while the V6 engine offers a smooth and characterful power delivery. This car is used as intended: it has taken part in the Italian Gran Premio Nuvolari in 2018 and has completed several touring events around Europe, including a trip to the Goodwood Revival, demonstrating the dependability built into its restoration.
