The seller offers for sale this 1975 Honda Z600, powered by a 598 cc two-cylinder petrol engine paired with a manual gearbox. This European model was one of just 918 units exported from Japan to Europe. Originally delivered to the Canary Islands, the car remained there until 2015. In 2013, the previous owner carried out significant mechanical and cosmetic refreshing, including factory-correct repainting in bright orange and a renewed interior with new carpet and upholstery. The engine bay is clean and houses the EU-specific N600E engine producing 47 HP, fitted with its original exhaust. The engine does have starting difficulties and the car has been stationary since 2020, so recommissioning is advised. Once running, no blue or white smoke is reported and there are no unusual engine noises. The gearbox shifts smoothly. There is no visible rust or accident damage reported. The tires are tubeless with magnesium rims but are flat. The car is missing the heater assembly, which can be easily purchased in the US. The current documented mileage is 89.000 km.
The Honda Z600 is a compact and characterful hatchback that reflects Honda’s early expansion into international markets. With its air-cooled two-cylinder engine and lightweight construction, the Z600 delivers a lively and engaging driving experience. Its compact dimensions and distinctive styling have made it a sought-after classic among collectors of Japanese vehicles. The model’s rarity in Europe adds to its appeal, particularly as so few examples were officially exported. Today, the Z600 stands as an iconic representation of 1970s Japanese engineering, combining efficiency, charm, and mechanical simplicity in a unique classic package.
