Finished in Honda’s period Planet Blue, this example has undergone a partial restoration, with new parts fitted totalling over €6,000 according to the seller. The front and rear wheels have been replaced complete with new Bridgestone Battlax tyres, and the exhaust system, wiring harness, seat, rear shocks, fork tubes and handlebar have all been renewed. The instrument cluster has been overhauled including fresh damper oil, and several covers along with the brake drum have been rechromed. The handlebar switches and ignition switch are original Honda parts.
According to the previous owner, the engine was rebuilt approximately 15 years ago, and the seller describes the motorcycle as running well. Recent servicing includes a fresh oil and filter change, new iridium spark plugs, new brake lines and master cylinder, new brake pads front and rear with fresh brake fluid, a new clutch and a new battery. The motorcycle is fitted with electronic ignition and comes with German registration papers; a new TÜV inspection can be arranged on request.
Introduced in 1969, the Honda CB750 Four is widely regarded as the original superbike, pairing a smooth overhead-camshaft inline-four engine with a front disc brake and electric start at a time when most rivals still relied on drum brakes and kickstarters. The K2 revision, produced for the 1972 and 1973 model years, carried forward the character of the original while reflecting Honda’s ongoing refinement of the model.
