– New white leather seats and new seat belts
– Power steering and power-assisted disc brakes
– Recent valuation report with condition grade 2

The private seller offers for sale this 1969 Ford Mustang Convertible, powered by a 4.9-litre V8 engine, paired with an automatic transmission. The car has been restored and wears a metallic blue respray that sets off its chrome bumpers, new chrome five-spoke wheels and white soft top. Inside, the cabin has been retrimmed with new white leather seats and new seat belts, combined with a black dashboard, a sports steering wheel and Mustang branded floor mats. A modern head-up display has been discreetly retrofitted, and the doors project the running horse emblem onto the ground when opened.

The work carried out goes beyond cosmetics. The car has received a new carburettor, a new oil pan and a new exhaust system, together with new clear-glass headlights and new LED tail lights. Power steering, disc brakes and a brake booster make the Mustang easier to enjoy on modern roads. A recent valuation report grades the car as condition 2 on the German classic car scale.

Launched in April 1964, the Ford Mustang created an entirely new class of car, the pony car, and became one of the fastest-selling models in automotive history. For the 1969 model year the Mustang received its most significant restyle so far: a longer, wider and more muscular body, quad headlights, sculpted side scoops and a more aggressive stance. The 1969 cars are widely regarded as some of the best-looking Mustangs ever built, and the cabriolet, produced in far smaller numbers than the hardtop and fastback, is especially sought after.

The 302 cubic inch small-block V8 is a natural partner for the Mustang. Smooth, torquey and blessed with an unmistakable soundtrack, it gives the car relaxed performance that is ideally suited to open-top cruising. Combined with the automatic transmission and the added steering and brake assistance, this Mustang offers an easy-going way to enjoy one of America’s most iconic designs, top down and with the V8 rumbling ahead.
