The private seller offers for sale this 1977 Ford Capri II 2600, powered by a 2.6-litre V6 petrol engine, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The Capri was launched in 1969 as Europe’s answer to the Ford Mustang: a long-bonnet sports coupe built on a modest budget that ordinary buyers could afford. The Capri II, introduced in 1974, brought a larger cabin, a practical hatchback tailgate and a wider choice of engines, among them the 2.6-litre Cologne V6 with its characteristic sound that suits the character of the car so well.

This example is finished in a vivid lime green, which gives the coupe a lot of presence. According to the seller the most recent round of updates was carried out in 2024. This included new brake calipers and brake lines, a new tinted windscreen, a new battery, electronic ignition, and a respray of the bonnet and front wings, with the bonnet previously having been matt black. The gearbox is a short-shift four-speed, not the rod-shift type, the oil and filter were changed in 2025, and the car is fitted with new 13-inch RS wheels with chrome wheel nuts and new 205 tyres.

The interior is trimmed in black with lime green inserts that match the exterior, with a leather-look steering wheel, round instruments in a classic Capri dashboard and a rear bench seat. The seller notes that the car has a few small spots, of which photos have been taken, and that for the finishing touch the engine mounts and steering rod would benefit from a fresh coat of matt black paint because of light surface rust, although these parts are not rotten according to the seller. The rear axle turns slightly high revs at 90 km/h, and a new crown wheel set is available for an additional 250 euros.

For anyone looking for an eye-catching 1970s performance coupe with a V6 soundtrack, this Capri offers striking looks and recent mechanical updates.
