The BMW R18 was introduced in 2020 as the brand’s entry into the large-displacement cruiser segment, built around the largest boxer engine BMW Motorrad has ever produced. The R18 Bagger variant, launched for the 2022 model year, adds a full touring fairing, integrated hard saddlebags and a large infotainment touchscreen, giving the platform a distinctly American bagger character. It was developed in collaboration with Roland Sands Design and features the “Berlin Built” branded master cylinder covers as part of its design language, referencing BMW Motorrad’s Berlin production history.
