The seller offers for sale a BMW 315 E21 from 1981. This sedan is powered by a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder petrol engine and is paired with a manual transmission. Around fifteen years ago, the car was acquired as a barn find and subsequently largely restored. Approximately eleven years ago, the car was repainted in its original colour, after which it has mostly been stored indoors during further assembly. The body and paint present well with only minor signs of use. The interior has seen selective attention, including the installation of a new headliner finished in skai leather, while the remaining interior has been cleaned but otherwise kept original. The engine runs well and the gearbox shifts smoothly. The car has not been involved in an accident and shows no visible rust. During the restoration, the braking system was upgraded with new discs, pads, calipers, drums, pistons, and brake lines on both front and rear axles. The current mileage is 201.000 km. The car is not roadworthy and has no valid technical inspection.
The BMW E21 marked the beginning of the 3 Series lineage and played a key role in shaping BMW’s reputation for compact, driver-focused sedans. Introduced in the late 1970s, the E21 combined classic rear-wheel-drive handling with clean, timeless styling. The 315 variant offered efficient motoring while retaining the balanced driving dynamics BMW became known for. Today, the E21 is appreciated as an important classic BMW, valued for its simplicity, mechanical feel, and connection to the origins of one of the brand’s most successful model lines.
