The seller offers for sale this 1954 Alvis TC21/100, powered by a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a manual transmission.
After leaving the factory in 1954, the car was shipped to its first owner in Norway, where it remained until early 1973. At that point it was imported to the Netherlands, receiving the Dutch registration it still carries today. The current owner, who has held the car since 2024, carried out a programme of recommissioning work: the headliner was renewed, the electrical system was checked and corrected, new door card boards were fitted, and the leather was cleaned and treated. The water pump was subsequently reconditioned and all fluids were replaced. The car has since been used sparingly for local leisure drives.
The Alvis TC21/100 was produced at the company’s Coventry factory during the early 1950s as part of the TC21 series. The designation “100” referred to the car’s headline figure of 100 brake horsepower, achieved through a revised carburation setup on the familiar 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine. With its coachbuilt saloon bodywork, walnut dashboard, and leather upholstery, the TC21/100 represented the upper tier of British sporting saloons of the period, combining gentlemanly refinement with a genuine willingness to travel quickly. Alvis ceased car production in 1967, making well-preserved examples increasingly sought after by enthusiasts and collectors.
This particular car is presented in dark burgundy paintwork with a beige leather interior in good condition. The car is known at the Alvis Heritage Trust and has been part of the Dutch Alvis Owners Club, ensuring it has been kept in appropriate company throughout its recent history.
