The seller offers for sale this 1964 Bristol FLF6G Lodekka – ECW H43/31F body, a classic British double-decker bus project. This vehicle is equipped with a 10.5-liter 6-cylinder Gardner diesel engine, which still needs to be installed. The Gardner 6LX engine has been rebuilt by a Gardner specialist and has been tested. Most components are present, although the gearbox, gear linkage and two main brake cylinders are missing. The body shows visible dents and scratches and certain panels may require replacement and repainting. The left front fender is not present. The interior is in good condition and remains largely intact, which provides a good base for further restoration or completion of the project.

The Bristol Lodekka is one of the most recognizable British double-decker buses produced during the mid-twentieth century. Introduced by Bristol Commercial Vehicles in the late 1940s, the Lodekka became widely used by transport companies across the United Kingdom. Its distinctive low-height design allowed it to operate on routes with low bridges while still offering the capacity of a traditional double-deck bus. The model became known for its strong chassis construction, durable diesel engines and practical engineering. Many Lodekkas remained in service for decades and later found second lives as preserved heritage vehicles, promotional buses, event vehicles or unique hospitality conversions. Because of their unmistakable silhouette and historical significance in British public transport, surviving examples are appreciated by collectors and enthusiasts who value classic commercial vehicles with strong character.
