The seller offers for sale this Fiat 124 Sport Spider 1800 from 1975, a cabriolet powered by a 1.8 litre 4-cylinder petrol engine combined with a manual gearbox. The car was purchased in 1999 and driven approximately 1,000 kilometres per year. In 2020 and 2021 it underwent a restoration to original specification, after which it has been driven sparingly. The engine runs well and the gearbox shifts smoothly, although it produces some noise and the second gear synchromesh ring may benefit from replacement in the future. This is not currently necessary for driving. The body was repainted in its original colour in 2021 and has been stored indoors. The interior features skai trim in good condition, with new upholstery and functioning gauges.
The soft top is present and in good condition, with fabric and stitching in neat order.
The Fiat 124 Sport Spider is one of the most recognisable Italian roadsters of the 1970s. Designed by Pininfarina, it combines elegant lines with a lively twin-cam engine and balanced rear-wheel-drive handling. The 1800 version offers strong performance and classic open-top driving enjoyment. Today, well-maintained examples are appreciated for their timeless design, mechanical simplicity and engaging character on the road.
