The seller offers for sale a Saab 900 Cabriolet from 1994. This cabriolet is equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine paired with a manual transmission. According to the seller, the engine starts easily, runs well, produces no blue or white smoke when warm, and makes no unusual noises. The gearbox shifts smoothly without issues or abnormal sounds. The car has not been involved in an accident and shows no visible rust. In 2019, shortly before acquisition, the Saab received major mechanical work including a cylinder head gasket replacement, engine service, new exhaust line, new brakes, renewed ignition system, a replaced alternator, and an update of the air conditioning system to newer refrigerant, although it currently requires recharging. Since this work, the car has covered less than 1,000 km. Having been stored for several years in a heated garage, it will benefit from recommissioning such as fluid changes and engine adjustment. The interior presents well overall, with functioning instruments except for the radio and rear window defogger switch, while the leather seats require attention to stitching and care. The current documented mileage is 322.500 km.
As a cabriolet, this Saab is fitted with a fabric soft top, which is present and described as being in very good condition, showing only light signs of use. The soft top mechanism operates properly, with only minor resistance or noise that could benefit from light lubrication. There is no hard top included.
The Saab 900 Cabriolet is widely regarded as one of the brand’s most iconic models. Known for its distinctive design, wraparound windshield, and solid engineering, the 900 helped define Saab’s reputation for safety, individuality, and turbocharged performance. The Turbo LPT variant offers a smooth and accessible power delivery, making it suitable for relaxed touring as well as spirited driving. Open-top versions add an extra dimension to the driving experience while retaining the practical nature Saab was known for. Today, classic Saab 900 Cabriolets are increasingly appreciated by enthusiasts for their character, durability, and unmistakable Scandinavian identity, making them an attractive choice for collectors and drivers alike.
