The seller offers for sale this 1973 Steyr-Puch Haflinger 700 AP, a rare utility vehicle with just 9,300 km recorded. Originally owned by a family in Andorra, it was lightly used in the mountains before being stored for decades in a climate-controlled garage. Recently recommissioned, it started immediately after 30 years, with work including a full fluid change, carburetor service, new spark plugs, and replacement of blocked brake hoses. The Haflinger retains its factory paint, original interior, and canvas elements, showing only light wear such as small fabric tears and aged leather fasteners. The underbody guards were repainted due to minor scrapes from mountain use. Mechanically, it runs smoothly and the gearbox shifts correctly. With a valid Spanish inspection (ITV) and Andorran registration, it is ready for its next owner.
The Steyr-Puch Haflinger was introduced in 1959 as a lightweight, highly capable off-road vehicle designed by the Austrian manufacturer Steyr-Daimler-Puch. Compact yet robust, it became renowned for its exceptional off-road performance, thanks to its light weight, all-wheel drive, and remarkable ground clearance. Used by military forces, farmers, and adventurers alike, the Haflinger earned a reputation as a versatile workhorse. Its unique design and engineering make it a collectible classic today, valued both for its historical importance and for its ability to deliver genuine off-road fun. Well-preserved low-mileage examples, such as this one, are increasingly hard to find and sought after by collectors worldwide.
