Description

Highlights:

– 3.9-litre V8 engine, petrol, automatic transmission
– Original engine block, according to the seller
– Flatbed body with red wooden side boards
– Two-tone blue and black paintwork with chrome grille

The private seller offers for sale this 1955 Ford F-250 Flatbed, powered by a 3.9-litre V8 engine, paired with an automatic transmission. With its blue cab, black front wings and red-painted wooden load bed, this classic American pickup has a cheerful, hard-working character that is hard to resist.

The second-generation Ford F-Series, introduced in 1953 and often called the “Effie”, brought a new level of style to the American working truck. Its wide grille with integrated lights, the sculpted hood and the curved windscreen gave it a shape that is still admired today, and the larger F-250 was aimed at customers who needed greater payload capacity from their half-ton pickup. The F-Series of these years was one of the first Ford trucks to be offered with a modern overhead-valve V8 engine, giving it drivetrain options that were advanced for its time.

According to the seller, this F-250 still has its original engine block, and it comes with a US title together with Dutch import documents. The flatbed is fitted with red slatted wooden side boards and carries a tarpaulin in the photos, while the cab has a grey bench seat and a simple painted dashboard with a large steering wheel. The paintwork shows signs of age and use, which gives the truck an authentic patina. Whether used as a classic daily driver, a promotional vehicle or a base for a custom build, a 1950s flatbed Ford offers plenty of character.
