The private seller offers for sale this 1971 Fiat 500 L, powered by a 650 cc two-cylinder petrol engine. The Nuova 500 was introduced in 1957 and became one of the defining small cars of post-war Italy, putting a generation on the road with its rear-mounted air-cooled twin and its compact, cheerful shape. The L, short for Lusso, added extra chrome trim and a more upmarket interior.
The seller states that the car has been restored by himself as originally as possible and in its original colour. This one is finished in a bright orange with a black vinyl interior, and a folding fabric roof. The engine bay is shown in several photographs, and the seller has also supplied photographs of a number of loose engine and gearbox parts.
