KTM 690 Duke | 2013

– 690 cc single-cylinder engine, KTM LC4
– 16,573 km indicated on odometer
– Full MIVV exhaust system fitted
– Custom integrated indicators front and rear
– Chain replaced

The private seller offers for sale this 2013 KTM 690 Duke, powered by a 690 cc single-cylinder engine. With 16,573 km indicated on the odometer, it wears KTM’s signature black and orange colour scheme, combining a largely black appearance with the original orange KTM accents and the striking orange trellis frame. The seller has given this Duke a sporty and complete character with a series of tasteful upgrades: a full MIVV exhaust system, a windscreen, stealth mirrors, handguards, LED lighting, crash bars, a Quad Lock phone mount, custom integrated indicators front and rear, a custom tail light with number plate lighting and a new set of rim stickers. The chain has been replaced and both tyres are reported to be in good condition. According to the seller, the motorcycle has been maintained with care and the well-known points of attention on the Duke 690, including the rocker arms, have been checked. The result is a Duke with a distinctly different and more aggressive look than a standard example, while retaining all of the qualities that made the model a favourite.

KTM’s LC4 single is one of the great modern motorcycle engines, a large-capacity single-cylinder unit with roots in the Austrian brand’s dominance of off-road racing and the Dakar Rally. The 690 Duke took that engine to the street, creating a light, narrow and fiercely agile naked bike that delivers strong low-down torque and the sort of direct, engaging character few multi-cylinder machines can match. The third-generation Duke 690 introduced in 2012 was developed with a new engine, ride-by-wire throttle and ABS, and was designed to be both more refined and more usable every day, without losing the playful edge that defines the Duke name and its “Ready to Race” philosophy. Light in weight, quick through corners and wonderfully simple to live with, the 690 Duke is often described as the purest expression of the big-single street bike, and personalised, well-equipped examples like this one remain highly sought after by riders who value agility and character over sheer size.
