The private seller offers for sale this 2009 KTM 450 SX ATV, powered by a 449 cc single-cylinder four-stroke petrol engine, paired with a manual transmission. Finished in KTM’s signature orange and black, this sport quad has covered just 1 km. According to the seller it has never seen a track and has only rolled a few metres on tarmac. Everything is in stock specification, with the exception of the rear swingarm, which has been extended by means of a linkage for improved handling. It is supplied with German registration documents.
The photos show the quad with its original seat, plastics, nerf bars, KTM grips, orange-sprung WP shock absorbers and original knobbly tyres. Even the welcome pack and documentation remain with the vehicle.
KTM entered the sport ATV market in 2008 with the 450 SX and 505 SX, developed together with experts in ATV racing to bring the Austrian manufacturer’s motocross know-how to four wheels. The 450 SX was designed as a pure racing quad, with a lightweight frame, long-travel WP suspension, a race-bred four-stroke engine derived from KTM’s championship-winning motocross bikes and the brand’s typical sharp, aggressive styling.
KTM’s ATV programme was short-lived and production ended after only a few model years, making these quads a rare sight today. An example with virtually zero kilometres is a remarkable find, whether for a collection of KTM machinery or for an enthusiast who wants to experience a factory race quad from new.
