Route 66 Auctions BV holds a public auction every Thursday evening. You can take part either in person at our auction location in Waalwijk or online via Route66Auctions.com.

You are welcome to attend the auction in person and participate in the bidding process. No appointment or advance registration is required to attend.
How Does the Public Auction Work?
The auction is conducted under the supervision of an auctioneer.
Bids can be placed in two ways:
- In person at the auction location in Waalwijk
- Online via Route66Auctions.com
In-person and online bidders participate in the same bidding process.
If you are attending the auction in person, you can communicate your bid directly to the auctioneer. The auctioneer will enter the bid into the live bidding process so that both in-person and online bidders have the opportunity to place a higher bid.
Before accepting a bid, Route 66 Auctions may verify the bidder’s identity and contact details. No advance registration is required for this purpose.
Bidding Online
You do not need to travel to Waalwijk to participate in the auction. You can continue to bid online through your account on Route66Auctions.com.
Current bids and the ongoing bidding process are handled through the auction platform.
Closing of a Lot
The closing time for each lot is shown on the relevant lot page.
If a new bid is placed during the final minutes before a lot is due to close, the remaining bidding time may be extended in accordance with the auction terms and conditions applicable at that time.
The auctioneer supervises the closing of the lots and the overall conduct of the public auction.
When Is a Bid Binding?
Every bid placed is a binding bid and is subject to the applicable terms and conditions of Route 66 Auctions.
If the conditions for the sale of a lot have been met, including any applicable minimum selling price or reserve price, the lot may be awarded to the highest valid bidder.
Once the lot has been awarded, a purchase agreement is concluded between the seller and the buyer.
Route 66 Auctions acts as the auction platform and intermediary and is not the seller of the vehicle, unless expressly stated otherwise on the relevant lot page.
Public Auction
The Thursday evening auction is conducted as a public auction, giving consumers the opportunity to attend in person and participate in the bidding process under the supervision of an auctioneer.
