Description

Lambretta Li 150 | 1963

Highlights:

– 150 cc single-cylinder two-stroke engine
– 2,950 km indicated on odometer
– Full restoration completed approximately one year ago
– Complete documentation in order for ownership transfer
– Classic two-tone livery with period Lambretta club badges

The seller offers for sale this 1963 Lambretta Li 150, powered by a 150 cc single-cylinder engine. This particular example shows 2,950 km on the odometer and is finished in a two-tone yellow and white livery, carrying a set of period-style Lambretta club and dealer badges across the legshields and front apron. The seller indicates the scooter underwent a full restoration approximately a year ago, and that all documentation required for a straightforward change of ownership is in order. A spare wheel is carried on the rear rack. The scooter presents in good condition throughout, in keeping with the restoration work the seller describes having been carried out, and the seller notes it can be viewed and tried without obligation.

Innocenti’s Lambretta Li 150 was launched in 1958 as the successor to the earlier LD series, and quickly became one of the defining Italian scooters of the postwar era, going head-to-head with Vespa for dominance of a booming European market. Its fully enclosed bodywork, tubular chassis running through a single large-diameter backbone tube and, in this later Series 3 “Slimstyle” form, sleeker, more streamlined panelwork, made it as practical as it was stylish: a scooter that shielded rider and passenger from dirt and weather while cutting a genuinely elegant profile. Over its production run the Li 150 was built not only in Milan but also under licence in Spain, India, Argentina and Brazil, and it became closely associated with 1960s youth culture, later adopted as the scooter of choice for the Mod movement in Britain. With well over 140,000 examples of the 150cc model produced across three series, the Li 150 remains one of the most recognisable and sought-after classic scooters among collectors, prized for its timeless Italian design and its place in scooter history.
