The reserve price is the minimum amount you are willing to accept for your vehicle. We set it together with you, based on market value, condition and the interest we expect for your model.

The reserve price is not the starting bid

We deliberately start the auction below your reserve price. A lower starting bid attracts more bidders and builds momentum, which in practice leads to a higher final result. Bids below your reserve price are therefore normal and do not mean your vehicle will be sold for that amount.

The reserve price is never visible

Bidders cannot see your reserve price and cannot work it out. They only see whether the current bid is approaching the reserve or has reached it.

If the reserve price is reached

Your vehicle is sold to the highest bidder and you are required to deliver it. This is a binding sale. Only agree to a reserve price you are genuinely willing to sell for.

If the reserve price is not reached

Your vehicle is not sold. You remain the owner and you pay nothing. We will contact you to discuss the reserve price for the next auction round.

Changing your reserve price Before your vehicle goes live you can adjust the reserve price in consultation with us. Once the auction is running, the reserve price can only be lowered, never raised. This keeps the auction fair for everyone who has already placed a bid.
