The seller offers for sale this 2020 KTM X-Bow R, powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, paired with a DSG dual-clutch transmission. This example is presented in exposed carbon with orange detailing, and is described as one of the few units registered in Spain fitted with the DSG gearbox. It is equipped with Recaro seats including a custom-fitted seat, a Garmin navigation system, LED daytime running lights, a sports exhaust system alongside the original exhaust, an original outdoor cover, maintenance books and three keys. The car runs on Yokohama A052 semi-slick tyres. The odometer shows 18,800 km, and the car carries a Spanish registration.
The KTM X-Bow was launched at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show as the Austrian manufacturer’s first production car, developed in collaboration with design house Kiska, engine supplier Audi and chassis specialist Dallara. Built around a full carbon-fibre monocoque, the X-Bow embodies a purist, weight-obsessed philosophy: everything not essential to performance is stripped away, leaving an open, roofless two-seater focused entirely on the driving experience. Introduced in 2011, the more extreme R version raised output of the Audi 2.0-litre TFSI engine to 300 hp with 400 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful road-homologated X-Bow of its generation.
With a kerb weight of well under 900 kg and its power sent to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential, the X-Bow R delivers a level of agility and immediacy that few road-legal cars can match. The Dallara-engineered chassis, pushrod front suspension derived from single-seater racing and Brembo brakes give the car a track-bred character, while the exposed carbon bodywork and open cockpit make every journey an event. Faithful to KTM’s “Ready to Race” ethos, the X-Bow R offers the closest thing to a single-seater circuit car that can still be driven on the road, making it a compelling proposition for the driving enthusiast and collector alike.
