The seller offers for sale this 1991 Nissan Figaro, equipped by a 985cc turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with an automatic transmission. This Figaro presents in its original Pale Aqua-adjacent grey-beige exterior finish with a matching cream and grey interior. The car retains its original Figaro-branded stereo unit and features the characteristic cream three-spoke steering wheel, chrome dashboard detailing and wood-effect console trim. The soft top mechanism is present and the folding roof stows into a dedicated compartment behind the seats. At 146,000 km, the car shows wear in keeping with its age, particularly in the interior, and some areas of the exterior trim show the passage of time, though the body panels present in good condition overall. An Ehime Nissan Motor dealership badge on the rear panel confirms the car’s Japanese origin.
The Nissan Figaro was produced exclusively for the 1991 model year as a limited-edition retro-inspired cabriolet, sold only in Japan through an oversubscribed public lottery. Conceived under Nissan’s Pike Factory, the Figaro was designed to evoke the spirit of 1960s European motoring with its rounded bodywork, chrome detailing and pastel colour options. Based on the Micra platform and sharing its turbocharged 987cc engine, the Figaro was offered in four seasonal colours and produced in a run of approximately 20,000 units. The type quickly developed a following outside Japan, and a significant number of examples were subsequently imported into Europe and the United Kingdom.
