The seller offers for sale this 1989 Nissan Pulsar, powered by a 1,600cc four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. This red example is an exceptionally rare variant of the Nissan Pulsar N13, combining a removable targa roof panel with a large rear tailgate that can be fully removed to convert the car into an open pickup-style configuration. The car is a Canadian import and is described by the seller as one of very few known examples of this body variant in Europe, with the only other known example reportedly on display at the PS.Speicher automobile museum in Einbeck, Germany. The car shows 129,500 km on the odometer and is presented in good condition throughout. It is German-registered and located in Lower Saxony state, Germany.
The Nissan Pulsar N13 was produced from 1986 to 1990 and was sold in various body styles across different markets, including three-door and five-door hatchbacks and a saloon. Certain export markets received unique variants not offered in Europe, and the pickup-targa configuration on this example represents one such regional special body style. The N13 generation used a range of four-cylinder engines and was positioned as a practical and affordable compact car. Today, unusual variants such as this are rarely encountered and attract interest from collectors focused on obscure and market-specific Japanese automobiles of the period.
