The Saab 95 V4 from 1970 is a special appearance in the street scene and in the history of the Swedish brand. Originally delivered in the Netherlands in November 1970, this model was powered by the 1.5-liter Ford Taunus V4 engine, coupled with a manual 4-speed gearbox. The 95 was Saab’s practical station wagon, with a surprisingly large amount of space, a characteristic two-piece tailgate and even two folding seats in the trunk – good for seven seats.
About twelve years ago, the bodywork was tackled and repainted in the original color Toreador Red. The upholstery was also renewed at that time. In the period from August to November 2024, the Saab was technically tackled: the engine and gearbox were overhauled, the brake system renewed and the front and rear suspension checked. New Vredestein tires were also fitted and everything was documented with photos. As extras, the car is equipped with a Weber carburetor, electronic ignition and modern seat belts.
From the outside, the Saab 95 V4 exudes pure nostalgia, with its warm Toreador Red paintwork that combines beautifully with the stylish black interior. The classic Saab design remains unique with its convex fenders, diamond-shaped nose and charming chrome accents. Inside, the atmosphere is at least as characterful: the renewed upholstery fits in perfectly with the era of the car and forms a harmonious whole with the exterior. The interior and exterior have minor signs of wear here and there.
