The seller offers for sale this elegant 1973 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, powered by a 6.8-litre V8 petrol engine and automatic transmission. Delivered new in the United Kingdom, it spent most of its life in Monaco, where it was maintained by an official Rolls-Royce workshop, as verified by its service book. In 2001, a collector from Madrid imported it to Spain, registering it as a historic vehicle and keeping it in his private collection. The car was used only occasionally for special events and has covered just 34,000 km. Recently, it received a comprehensive mechanical service, including carburetor tuning, oil and fluid replacement, brake overhaul, and four new tyres. The engine starts instantly, runs smoothly, and the automatic gearbox shifts seamlessly. The paint retains a deep shine, with minor touch-ups recently completed. Much of the original factory paint remains. The underbody is clean and free of visible rust, recently treated with anti-corrosion coating. The original interior shows minimal wear and has been well preserved.
Introduced in 1965, the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow marked a new era for the brand, featuring unibody construction and independent suspension for improved ride comfort. Its combination of understated luxury, smooth V8 performance, and elegant design made it the preferred choice of statesmen and celebrities throughout the 1970s. Today, the Silver Shadow stands as one of the most accessible ways to own a hand-built Rolls-Royce, offering timeless British refinement and an unmatched sense of occasion.
