The seller offers for sale this 1979 Porsche 924, powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
This example presents in graphite grey, a colour that suits the clean, wedge-shaped lines of the 924 coupé body well. The car retains its characteristic pop-up headlights and is fitted with a set of aftermarket five-spoke alloy wheels. The interior shows wear in keeping with its age, with the centre console housing a Pioneer aftermarket stereo unit alongside the original auxiliary gauges.
The Porsche 924 was introduced in 1976 as an entry-level model in the Porsche range and was notable for being the first Porsche to use a water-cooled front engine in production. Developed in collaboration with Volkswagen-Audi, the 924 used a 2.0-litre inline-four engine sourced from Audi. Despite its unconventional origins, the 924 offered balanced handling thanks to its rear-mounted transaxle layout, giving it near-even weight distribution. The model remained in production until 1988 and established the template for the later 944 and 968 models.
