The seller offers for sale a 1980 Mercedes-Benz W123 300 TD Turbodiesel station wagon, finished in Signal Red with Velour Dattel interior. This car represents the second-ever produced of its type, with the first delivered to Bavarian Prime Minister Franz Josef Strauß. Equipped with Cruise control – Air conditioning – Heated front seats – Central locking – Driver’s seat right and left with orthopedic driver’s backrest and reinforced – Heat-insulating glass, heated rear window – Headlight cleaning system – Rear seat split 2/3 – Catalytic converter was retrofitted and type-approved in 2004.
Always garage-kept and driven only in summer, it comes with a documented service history, including three Mercedes-Benz service booklets and a folder of invoices since new. In 1993, a new engine and transmission were installed by an official Mercedes workshop at 425,000 km, both still running smoothly. Current mileage is 675.200 km. The car starts without hesitation, emits no smoke when warm, and makes no unusual noises. The gearbox shifts cleanly and quietly. Rear brakes, brake fluid, couplings, hoses, and tires were renewed this year. Air conditioning components were replaced in 2008, while regular underbody protection has kept the chassis preserved. The vehicle has never suffered accident damage, shows no visible rust, and remains mechanically solid. It is currently registered as a historic vehicle in Austria with a valid §57a inspection until 2027. Currently registered as a historic vehicle (“Oldtimer”) in Austria.
