Description
Lincoln Continental Mark IV | 1974
Highlights:
- 7.5L V8 petrol engine
- Automatic transmission
- Red paintwork with white vinyl roof
- Distinctive “Continental” spare-wheel decklid
This 1974 Lincoln Continental Mark IV represents the height of American personal luxury from the mid-1970s. Powered by a 7.5-litre V8 paired with an automatic transmission, it was built for relaxed, high-comfort cruising rather than outright performance.
Finished in red with a contrasting white vinyl roof, this Mark IV retains its trademark long bonnet, opera windows, and the signature Continental decklid design. Chrome bumpers, original wheel covers, and period details complete the imposing exterior look. The body shows signs of age and use expressed in some rust spots and cracks in the paint and vinyl roof, but presents as a fair, largely original example.
Inside, the car features a red leather interior with button-tufted seats, wood-effect trim, and a classic 1970s dashboard layout. The upholstery shows some wear consistent with its age, and the cabin retains its spacious, lounge-like atmosphere.
The engine bay appears complete, with the 460 V8 and factory air cleaner still in place. While not restored, the car offers a solid basis for enjoyment as a weekend cruiser or as a candidate for further cosmetic and mechanical improvement.
