The seller offers for sale this 1956 Jaguar XK140, powered by a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine, paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox.
Presented in British Racing Green over a beige leather interior, this open two-seater roadster has been maintained by a specialist in the marque. Recent work carried out includes replacement of the engine silentblocs, new brake components, new shock absorbers, a new radiator, and a new fan unit, with the electric fan subsequently removed. The car is registered in France and located in Bas-Rhin, Alsace.

The Jaguar XK140 was produced between 1954 and 1957 as the successor to the celebrated XK120. It retained the acclaimed twin-overhead-camshaft 3.4-litre six-cylinder engine in most markets, though certain export variants received a 3.0-litre unit. The XK140 brought meaningful refinements over its predecessor, including rack-and-pinion steering, a stronger chassis, and slightly more cabin space. The open two-seater roadster remained the purest expression of the model, with its long bonnet, sweeping fenders, and hand-built body ensuring enduring desirability among collectors worldwide.
