The seller offers for sale a 1954 Jaguar XK 140 DHC SE Model C-Top with manual transmission and a 3.4-litre 6-cylinder petrol engine. Produced on 14 December 1954 and shipped shortly after to New York, this example later returned to Europe in 1988 and underwent a quality restoration in Sweden from 1992 to 1995. During this process, the car received new leather upholstery, a fresh soft top, and many other upgrades, while retaining originality. It was subsequently imported to Germany in 2002, back to Sweden in 2015, and has been in Denmark since 2021. The car starts without issues, runs without smoke or unusual noises, and shifts smoothly. All gauges work except the fuel gauge, though a replacement unit is included. The body shows no visible rust, the paintwork in deep red presents beautifully, and the exhaust system has been upgraded to stainless steel.

The fabric roof is in good condition, having been replaced during the restoration in Germany. It fits properly, shows no visible wear, and ensures the car can be enjoyed open or closed with equal appeal.

The Jaguar XK 140 was introduced in 1954 as the successor to the groundbreaking XK 120, offering improved comfort, handling, and space while maintaining sporting character. The Drophead Coupé variant, with its combination of style and practicality, became one of the most coveted XK models. Fitted with the optional C-type cylinder head, the XK 140 SE delivered stronger performance and remains highly sought after by collectors. With its elegant lines, walnut-trimmed dashboard, and driving dynamics, the XK 140 continues to embody the essence of British motoring heritage. Today it is recognised not only for its beauty and performance but also for its place in Jaguar’s legacy of sports cars.
