The seller offers for sale this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe, originally a California car. Between 2021 and 2023 the car underwent a mechanical restoration including a new 383ci stroker V8 on LPG, upgraded cooling, brakes, suspension and steering. A T56 6-speed manual gearbox with short shifter and modern clutch was fitted, supported by an aluminium driveshaft and reinforced rear axle. The car’s electrical system was renewed with a new harness, while the interior was stripped and rebuilt with new upholstery, carpets, panels and Recaro seats. Air conditioning and climate control function as intended. The Camaro starts without problems, produces no smoke, shifts smoothly and makes no unusual noises. In 2004 it received a repaint that still presents well, though some minor imperfections are visible. The car had a driveway accident in 2013 which was repaired professionally. Overall it presents as a strong, highly upgraded muscle car ready for spirited driving.

Mc Leod Super Street mechanical clutch. Rod-ends clutch linkage. Rear end 10 bolts carrier with 4. 11 Yukon gears and Eaton Posi. C-clip Mooser axles. 2.5” aluminium driveshaft with hi RPM balance. Power Brakes’94-’99 Mustang Cobra disc brakes kit. EBC Yellowstuff pads all around. Power Steering. Camaro IROC 3th gen close ratio steering box. Tall ball joints.
Geometry for maximum caster settings. Cooling system: Cold Air big block all aluminium radiator. 40 amps 19” Lincoln III cooling fan with PWM speed control. Chassis: DSE Subframe connectors. Globalwest interlocking solid body mounts. Hotchkis rear leaf springs. Front adjustable afco springs. 4 adjustable koni shocks. Front sway bar. Miscalenous: Front LED lights, Rear red fog lights integrated in the reverse lights. Vintage Air AC system. New starter and battery. New front windshield. 17” Vintage Wheel Works, 235/ 45 front and 275/ 40 rear. Black, polymer based anti-gravel undercarriage protection. Chassis and engine bay epoxy painted. LPG tank pressure tested in 2022. Extra parts available like shims for geometry, weatherstrip kit, original front seats and a used original left door in good condition.
