The private seller offers for sale this 1992 BMW 325i Cabriolet E30, powered by a 2.5-litre straight-six petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. It is finished in black with a matching black soft top, a timeless combination that underlines the crisp, square-cut lines of the E30 body, and it rides on classic cross-spoke alloy wheels. The cabin is trimmed in grey leather, with supportive front seats, a three-spoke BMW steering wheel and the familiar driver-oriented dashboard that BMW made its trademark. The odometer reads 244,000 km.

The car was originally bought by the current owner as his first cabriolet and has since grown into a recognised classic in his hands. With a growing collection and too little time to drive them all, he has decided to pass it on to a new enthusiast. The car comes with a valid roadworthiness inspection and is ready to be enjoyed.

The E30 3 Series was introduced in 1982 and is widely regarded as one of the finest compact sports saloons ever built. In 1986 BMW added a factory cabriolet to the range, engineered and built in-house at Regensburg rather than by an outside coachbuilder. To compensate for the missing roof, the body was extensively reinforced, and unlike the earlier Baur conversions with their fixed roll bar, the factory cabriolet had no roll-over hoop at all, giving it a particularly clean and elegant profile. The 325i was the top regular model of the range, and the cabriolet remained in production until 1993, outliving the E30 saloon.

At the heart of the 325i is the M20 straight-six, a smooth and free-revving engine with around 170 hp that gives the car lively performance and the turbine-like sound for which BMW six-cylinders are famous. Combined with rear-wheel drive, a precise 5-speed manual gearbox and balanced handling, it delivers a genuinely engaging driving experience with the roof down. Today, well-specified six-cylinder E30 Cabriolets are increasingly sought after by collectors, and this black 325i represents a rewarding way into one of BMW’s most iconic model lines.
