The seller offers for sale a 1958 Austin A55 Panel Van, beautifully restored and presented in outstanding condition. Originally sold in Norway, this vehicle served as a company car transporting luggage from the train station to a mountain hotel. Thanks to the absence of road salt, it remained in good shape. The van was later imported to Denmark and renovated by a professional restorer approximately six to seven years ago. The restoration was carried out to a high standard, with meticulous attention to detail and a high-quality gunmetal finish. It is now configured as a workshop van and fitted with leather seats from a Jaguar Series I for added comfort, while the original seats and wheels are included with the sale. The engine runs smoothly, the gearbox shifts well, and all lights and indicators function correctly. Mechanically, the car is in good working order, with a recent major service and oil change completed.
The Austin A55 Panel Van, based on the Cambridge saloon, was a versatile and stylish utility vehicle produced by the British Motor Corporation in the late 1950s. Known for its reliability and practicality, it was a favourite among small businesses and craftsmen across Europe. The combination of its charming period styling, robust mechanicals, and easy handling makes it both collectible and usable today. Restored examples like this one offer vintage appeal with the added practicality of ample cargo space—ideal for use as a promotional vehicle or a distinctive addition to any classic collection.
