What is the Buyer Protection Fee?
To uphold our high standards, we charge a Buyer Protection fee on each purchase. This fee ensures secure payments, expert-reviewed items, and verified sellers. It also funds platform improvements like new features, partnerships, and enhanced discovery experiences.
How is the Buyer Protection Fee calculated?
The Buyer Protection Fee is 9% of the final winning bid amount plus 21% VAT over that fee.
Example:
- Winning bid = € 20,000
- 9% fee = € 1,800
- 21% VAT = € 378
- Total Buyer Protection Fee = €2,178
The minimum Buyer Protection Fee is €950 and the maximum is €20,000 (excluding VAT).
