The seller offers for sale this Mercedes-Benz 300 D Adenauer from 1962, a sedan equipped with a 3.0 litre 6-cylinder petrol engine and automatic transmission . This example is described as one of the last produced units and was imported from Dallas in 2010. The engine has undergone a thorough overhaul including new valve seats, renewed hoses and a revised injection pump. The gearbox has been completely overhauled and shifts smoothly, while the engine runs well. The front and rear axles were rebuilt, brakes overhauled, the fuel tank cleaned and coated, and the underbody and engine bay dry-ice blasted and refinished. The interior has been renewed with new carpets, headliner, red leather upholstery and refinished wood trim. The paint presents well, with a noted damage on the left corner of the front bumper that could be resolved by rechroming. It holds a valid technical inspection.

The Mercedes-Benz 300 D, commonly known as the Adenauer, was the flagship limousine of Mercedes-Benz during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Designed as a prestigious representative vehicle, it was frequently used by heads of state, diplomats and industrial leaders. Powered by a smooth inline six-cylinder engine with fuel injection, it combined refined performance with impressive comfort for its era. The spacious cabin, advanced suspension and stately design made it a symbol of post-war German engineering and success. Today, the Adenauer is appreciated for its dignified presence, technical sophistication and rarity, making it a sought-after classic among collectors who value historical significance and luxury from the early 1960s.
