The seller offers for sale a 1977 Triumph TR7 with manual transmission and a 2.0 liter four-cylinder petrol engine. The history of the car is partly known, having belonged to a private owner who sold it in 2014, after which it remained within the same family until recently. Due to sentimental reasons the car was kept for several years but used very little, and it has since been stored in a garage. The paintwork presents well overall, with only a light dent on the front right wing that can be repaired using paintless dent removal, and the paint would benefit from polishing. The interior shows normal signs of use, with fabric seats, a tear in the driver’s seat stitching and otherwise a neat appearance. The current undocumented mileage is 65.000 km and it needs a new technical inspection.
The Triumph TR7 was introduced as a modern reinterpretation of the traditional British sports car, featuring a distinctive wedge-shaped design that set it apart from earlier Triumph models. Designed with everyday usability in mind, it offered improved comfort, safety and handling compared to its predecessors. Today, the TR7 is appreciated for its characterful styling, balanced driving experience and accessible classic ownership. Its combination of simplicity and period charm makes it an appealing choice for enthusiasts looking to enjoy a classic British sports car without excessive complexity.
