We understand that it can be disappointing when your vehicle is not accepted. This does not mean that the vehicle is not interesting or valuable — only that it does not currently fit within our auction offering or quality standards.
The most common reasons are:
Value
The vehicle does not meet the minimum estimated market value for its type, model or production year.
Reserve price too high
The minimum or reserve price you set is above realistic auction value.
Submission guidelines
The submission does not meet our requirements, for example due to an incomplete, unclear or inconsistent description.
Insufficient or low-quality images
Too few photos were provided, or the photos lack sufficient quality (blurry, poorly lit, incomplete).
Photos may also contain elements that are not suitable for our platform, such as advertising, watermarks or personal information.
Documentation or provenance concerns
There is insufficient evidence of ownership, history, maintenance or vehicle identity (e.g., missing papers, missing chassis number, unclear provenance).
Vehicle type
The model or condition does not fit the type of vehicles typically offered on Route 66 Auctions (for example, not collectible, outside our categories, or limited market relevance).
Our experts carefully assess every submission based on market interest, documentation, presentation quality and buyer expectations.
A rejection is never personal and may vary depending on the specific circumstances.
You are always welcome to submit another vehicle — every submission is independently reviewed again.
